Family Therapy Based on Heidegger: Understanding the Families that (Re)Invent Themselves in the Weaving of (Cyber)Culture

Abstract

This article presents the thesis entitled “Cyberfamilies in therapy: a proposal of family therapy based on Heidegger to understand families that (re)invent themselves in the weaving of (cyber)culture” through the transcription of its introduction and conclusion. Not being possible to contemplate here all the discussion that the thesis encompasses and considering its relevance to the academic-scientific debate and, in particular, the commitment of this journal with the dissemination of unpublished works related to the family area, the objective of this text is to make the referred proposal is known, which can be accessed on the website of the Universidade Estadual Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (Uenf) through the link http://www.pgcl.uenf.br/arquivos/tese asciberfamiliasemterapia_110420221115.pdf. The doctoral studies held at the university present the epistemological and technicalmethodological foundations of the family therapy proposal based on Heidegger for the understanding of postmodern families that reinvent themselves in their ways of being and communicating in the weaving of (cyber)culture. This interdisciplinary research, using qualitative methodology regarding the problem, exploratory regarding the objectives, and bibliographical research regarding the procedures, finds, mainly, in the Heideggerian philosophy the epistemological and technical-methodological support for the proposal presented, describing the understanding of the family in the light of the Heideggerian presence, the way of being of the family therapist in the meetings with the families, its method and technique(s), as well as the form of cyberfamilies care.
